In a safe, supportive environment, nurturing confidence, Anthony will teach actors the world renowned Chubbuck technique, developed by Ivana Chubbuck, empowering them to create compelling, emotionally alive, and deeply truthful work. Anthony is the most senior accredited teacher of the Chubbuck Technique in Australia.

 

Anthony Brandon Wong’s training has been with many of the world's best teachers. In his own acting, he practices a fusion of techniques and from the study he has done with more than 50 diverse teachers, including: Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss, Eric Morris, Meisner and Strasberg Techniques, along with his own exercises. He has been working as an actor around the world for 39 years in film, TV and stage and brings those insights to his teaching.

There are places for a maximum of 12 participants, plus up to 30 auditors. Participants will engage in scene/monologue work with Anthony, which the auditors will have the opportunity to watch. All students (participants and auditors) will have the opportunity to participate in practical acting and success mindset cultivating exercises.

Students will learn practical tools and exercises that A-list actors draw from, including:

• how to work on a role from a sense of joyful process rather than the perfectionism of having to "get it right"

• that any actor can go through periods of disbelief (POD) when they are tackling a difficult role and that this can be embraced rather than judged

• how to choose objectives that are primal and simple

• how to drive that need to win from your body rather than your intellect

• how to turn a person, place, thing or event mentioned in the script into a living, emotionally connected experience

• how to create emotional and sexual chemistry with your scene partner

• tools to cultivate the mindset of a successful, happy and empowered working actor and to challenge disempowering beliefs

• the importance of committed voice and speech

• the importance of physical language - gesture, doings, destination

• and much more
